Last week, RM Propulsion successfully completed a stern tube seal replacement on an ocean-going vessel. We supervised the shaft removal and liner installation and our service engineer took care of the precise installation of new seals.

Stern tube seals play a vital role in preventing water ingress and oil leakage around the propeller shaft. Over time, seals wear out and grooves develop on the liner, which can lead to leakage, system damage and costly downtime
