Servicing the steering gear

Steering gear can also be inspected and maintained by our engineers. Initial inspection will check for any internal leaks, manoeuvring issues, and bearing clearance.

Replacement steering gear seals & bearings

Seals and bearings will be replaced as needed, as part of a full overhaul. The rudder stock can be withdrawn, and the rudder removed and reinstalled. Final checks will include alignment and adjustment.
